SIMULASI TEGANGAN INDUKSI KABEL AKIBAT ARUS PETIR PADA KAWAT PENANGKAL PETIR
Abstract
Lightning is a natural phenomenon that is analogous to a giant capacitor, when the first plate is a cloud (either a negative plate or a positive plate) and the second plate is Earth (neutral). Lightning can also strike anything that is above the surface or connected to Earth. To make lightning do not damage what it strikes, a lightning rod is made.If a lightning strike occurs on a lightning rod in a building, the lightning current flows through the lightning rod earthing wire which is channeled to the ground. The existence of this flowing current results in an induced voltage on the electrical installation cable which is parallel to the petri protection ground wire. In this thesis, we will examine the effect of the distance between the lightning rod ground wire - the installation cable to the voltage induced on the electrical installation cable. From the analysis, it can be seen that the induced voltage on the electrical installation cable is strongly influenced by the load inductance installed.
