EFFECTS OF COMPOUND FERTILIZER AND PLANTING MEDIA ON THE GROWTH OF BOTTOM OF OIL FAMILY (Elaeis guineensis Jack) IN PRE NURSERY
Abstract
This study aims to determine the growth response of oil palm seedlings (Elaeis guineensis Jack) to the provision of compound fertilizers and planting media. The experimental design used in this study was a factorial Randomized Group Design. The first factor of planting media consists of 3 treatment levels (M), namely: M1 = 100% topsoil, M2 = 100% solid decanter, and M3 = 50% topsoil + 50% solid decanter while the second factor is the dose of compound fertilizer which consists of 3 levels (P) treatment: P0 = No Fertilizer, P1 = NPK 5 g per polybag, and P2 = NPK 10 g per polybag. The results showed that the growth response of oil palm seedlings (Elaeis guineensis Jack) to compound fertilizers and planting media in all observations was not significant. The combination of compound fertilizer treatment and planting media in all observations was also not significant.
