RESPONS PERTUMBUHAN DAN HASIL MELON (Cucumis melo L) TERHADAP BERBAGAI DOSIS PHONSKA

Abstract

The research aims at obtaining the right dosage of Phonska fertilizer (15:15:15) on the growth and yield of melon plants, which was carried out in Sidomulyo Village, Biru-Biru Subdistrict, Deli Serdang District from April 2019 to July 2019. This study used a design Randomized Group (RBD) with one factor, the dosage of Phonska fertilizer consisting of 6 levels of treatment: P1 = 80 g/plant, P2 = 95 g/plant, P3 = 110 g/plant, P4 = 125 g/plant, P5 = 140 g/plant, and P6 = 155 g/plantthat repeated 3 times. The results showed that the treatment dosage of Phonska fertilizer had  significant effect on stem diameter,  fruit diameter, fruit weight of each plot, and  weight of fruitthat measured at harvest. Research shows that the most optimal use of Phonska fertilizer dose is 140 g/plant which produces an average weight of fruit for each plant 1.59 kg, and the average weight of fruit for each plot is 38.20 kg.
