GAMBARAN DEMOGRAFI DAN KECEMASAN PENDERITA KANKER SERVIKS YANG MENJALANI KEMOTERAPI DI RSUD DR.MOEWARDI SURAKARTA TAHUN 2019

Abstract

Chemotherapy provides a very bad impact for cervical cancer sufferers who are undergoing it, both physical to psychological impacts. One of the psychological effects of chemotherapy is anxiety. The method used is descriptive quantitative non-experimental. The sample used was 40 respondents. Respondents were patients with a diagnosis of cervical cancer undergoing chemotherapy at RSUD Dr. Moewardi Surakarta. The results showed the average age of respondents>50 years with the highest level of education was elementary school and work as a housewife. Anxiety experienced by respondents included nausea, vomiting, tension, fear of something that would happen, sleep disturbance, disturbance of intelligence, feeling depressed, muscle disorders, sensory disorders, respiration, urination and genitals, and autonomy. The trigger for anxiety is the stage of cancer suffered by the respondent. Where the increasing stage of cancer suffered by respondents will also trigger an increase in the anxiety status of respondents. The economic status or income of the majority of respondents is within the limit of the minimum wage, so that the respondent does not worry too much about the costs of treatment and care during the chemotherapy process. This is because the treatment is funded by BPJS.
