ANALISIS TINGKAT EFESIENSI USAHATANI KOPI ARABIKA (Coffea arabica L.)
Abstract
This study aims at determining (1) the level of (technical, price, economic) efficiency of arabica coffee (Coffea arabica L.) in the study area, (2) the effect of farmers' socioeconomic factors (land area, number of dependents, education level, and age) on the income of Arabica coffee (Coffea arabica L.) farmers in the study area and (3) the income level of Arabica coffee (Coffea arabica L.) farmers in the study area. The study was conducted in the village of Lae Hole, Parbuluan District, Dairi District, North Sumatra Province. Determination of the study area was carried out by purposive sampling. The study was conducted from April 2018 to September 2018. The number of samples in the study was set at 31 samples. Data analysis was carried out descriptively and multiple regression analysis. The results showed that farming of arabica coffee (Coffea arabica L.) in the research area was not technically efficient, price and economical. Partially the land area (X1), the number of dependents (X2) and education level (X3) have a significant effect on the income of Arabica coffee farmers, while age (X4) does not significantly influence the income of Arabica coffee farmers. Simultaneously the area of land, the number of dependents, the level of education and age simultaneously have a significant effect on the income of Arabica coffee farmers. Net income for high arabica coffee farming in the study area is Rp. 2,676,533.56/month> UMR (Rp. 2,136,260.21/month), so that it is categorized into high.
